Ben Elmer is an architectural practitioner from Missoula, MT, whose work bridges architecture, design technology, and new media. He holds a Master of Architecture from SCI-Arc, where he graduated with distinction and was awarded the Gehry Prize for 2024’s best graduate thesis project.

Ben has contributed his expertise to award-winning architecture firms such as JFAK, THEVERYMANY, and David Hotson Architect. While working with David Hotson, he developed a script to generate ornamental iconography for the multilayered façade design of St. Sarkis Armenian Church, utilizing computational practice to create a culturally significant architectural scale graphic.

His recent projects focus on connecting hardware interfaces and digital media to disrupt traditional representational models. The feedback loop between digital representation and physical reality creates a novel audience experience that fosters engagement with pressing issues of technology, culture, and ecology.
